Looking for a percussionist!

UPDATE: Accepting applicants up until November 7!

The What Cheer? Brigade is looking for a new percussionist! We would prefer someone who already feels confident playing a marching snare, but if you’re a drummer who thinks you can adapt your skills quickly to our style, we’d love to give you a shot. Email whatcheerbrigade@gmail.com
Being in What Cheer? is amazing fun. You won’t get paid, but we ensure that band members don’t have to come out of their own pocket to be in the band, meaning you get to travel a lot of really cool places and have a blast while we provide food, lodging, per diems and instrument repair.

About Dan

Dan, aka 2Ba-Git 2 Quit, is involuntarily moved to dance like a crazy person when the drum section really gets going; this can sometimes pose a problem, as he is also supposed to hold down the bass line. He tries to be as mellow as possible until it's time to get as crazy as possible. It doesn't really work. Also, he will eat you alive.

Where are practices? and how often? How far do you travel and what kind of events do you play?

  2. Hello,
I’m Jesse and I’d love to meet up/jam/audition/see how we like each other. My bandcamp isn’t much but it gives you an idea. I was also a STOMP and Blue Man Group Finalist. Haven’t brass banded before but I think I could sink into it quite well. I’ve been into a lot of new orleans second line stuff lately, as well as latin and gypsy grooves.
Hit me back if you’d like more info or like to meet. I’d love the opportunity.
    Thanks and Happy Halloween,
    -J
