We’re playing a sick show in Providence this weekend. Then we head out on tour, starting with a send-off at AS220 on Wednesday, June 22. Then we head to Vermont, Montreal, Kingston, Toronto, Detroit, Akron, Ithaca, Troy, NY, and Western MA. Full Info.
We’re looking for some new members on all instruments: Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba, Cymbals, Drums. Email us at [email protected] to start the conversation. All are welcome, and we’re especially seeking women, QT, and POC.
Our 10th anniversary season was our busiest yet. We’ve spent the past few months working on a new album at Machines With Magnets studios. These are going to be our best recordings ever, and we can’t wait to share them with you!
Our next shows are in NYC in January: Golden Fest is on January 16, and we’ll be playing the night before as well. See you soon.
Here’s a flashback to our 10th anniversary show to tide you over:
With some regret, we want you to know that What Cheer won’t be at Honk! this year. There are some key band members who can’t be there. This was a really difficult decision; the idea of playing the 10th anniversary of Honk during our own 10th anniversary season was uniquely special and enticing, particularly since we’re one of a few bands that has been present every year. We tried to work out substitutions, but we came to the conclusion that we won’t be in a position to put our best foot forward, and Honk! deserves us at our absolute best.
